CLASS 29 HOME CRAFTS

Entry Rules:
1. All articles to be solely made and owned by the exhibitor.
2. Old, defaced, soiled work will be disqualified.
3. Articles to be not more than two years old.
4. All articles must have exhibitor’s tag attached showing exhibitor’s name and address.
5. Exhibitors should consider exhibitors insurance
Quilts
O.A.A.S. Hand Quilted Competition
Hand quilted quilts must be solely made and hand quilted by the exhibitor and be a minimum of 324” measured on the perimeter. Smaller quilts will not be eligible to enter.
O.A.A.S. Machine Quilted Quilt Competition
Quilt must be solely made and machine quilted by the exhibitor and the total perimeter to be a minimum of 324”. Note the article can be square, rectangular, etc.
*Please Note*
There will be a Grand and Reserve Champion judged at the fair and each will receive a rosette. The Grand Champion quilt will proceed to the District #10 Competition and if successful will become an entry in the O.A.A.S. competition. If chosen a winner, the quilt will be returned to the exhibitor with a $500 prize. If the grand champion is unable to proceed to the competition, the reserve champion quilt will be eligible.
Indicate patterns and designer on tag.
Each quilt entered must attach a label indicating the name of the quilt design and the name of the pattern designer for copyright reasons.
“A copyright design cannot be display in a public setting (fair) without permission being granted from the owner of the copyright. When the owner of the copyright has granted permission the exhibit will be displayed and labelled appropriately. Those without permission cannot be judged or displayed.” (The Ontario Agricultural Societies – Home craft Committee)

Rules:
1. Exhibitors will create a 12” x 12” quilt block, which will reflect the theme of the fair
2. There should be a minimum ½” border around the blocks for sewing the blocks into the final quilt.
3. The exhibitor may choose to piece, appliqué, embroider or any combination of different techniques to create the block.
4. All entries submitted will become property of the Mount Forest Agricultural Society.
